Traverse City's Hidden Gem!

A friend of a friend told out about the monthly story telling event at Traverse City’s Inside-Out Gallery, and we had to check it out. What we found was a delightful way to spend a Monday evening.

The event is two hours long, split up between six or so storytellers. These are personal experience stories, with a different theme each month. Some of the stories are hilarious, some tragic, and many in between.

The event is called Hear:Say Storytelling and it’s the brain-child of its founder and producer, Karen Stein. It’s held once each month, October through May. Inside-Out Gallery has a cash bar, and one can enjoy a beverage while listening to the stories.

May’s theme is “So, a storyteller walks into a bar …”. ClanDonnell is a storyteller, and he’s walked into many a bar (most often, an Irish pub). So, it’s an ideal forum for a ClanDonnell story. And so, the plan is to tell the story of ClanDonnell’s first story telling venture in Ireland – at Gus O’Connor’s, in Doolin, County Clare.

We’ll tell the story on Monday, May 16th. Here:Say is from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, and ClanDonnell will be on stage sometime then.

Like and share Hear:Say Storytelling on Facebook.

The events are podcast. Unless we totally bomb, will put the link on this website as well.
