Irish Culture Club of Delaware
This is how the Irish Club of Delaware and Finn McCool’s described our event in Newark, Delaware:

This is Finn McCool’s description of the event:

“Join us on May 1 at 7pm as we welcome Irish-American storyteller David McDonnell to Finn’s. Don’t expect a dry history lecture. McDonnell will entertain and enlighten as he tells us about the Great Hunger - its impact on the Irish and on our families - in his own crisp, witty style. An author and storyteller, McDonnell has entertained listeners in the US and Ireland alike. At the end, you’ll understand more about why there are so many Irish in America.

This is a free event for members of the Irish Cultural Club of Delaware and the general public. (ICCD members also receive 15% off of any food purchases at Finn’s).”

And this is the description of the event by the Irish Culture Club of Delaware:

“Join us on May 1 as we begin our month of commemoration to all those impacted by the Great Hunger, an Gorta Mor.

We begin with Irish storyteller David McDonnell. David tells us—in his own witty and intriguing way—the story of an Gorta Mor.

There’s no cover charge for this event. We just ask you to bring non-perishable food items, which we’ll be donating to a food closet. Our goal is to reduce hunger. No one should starve.

We're hearing that this is going to be a very popular night. Please contact Finn McCool's to reserve your spot. We don't want you to miss out.

Food donations will be possible at Finn McCool’s through May. Please help us reduce hunger.

Also, please check in with the Events page of our website for information on Night Out to Fight Hunger, music by Seven Rings, on 5/11. #nooneshouldstarveICCD.”
